Issue 25: May 2026

Flooding affects all of us, but the members of our community who are lower income or living outside suffer the greatest when our city floods. This issue is about the origins of Lansing as being situated on indigenous marshy land. It also talks about the challenges homeowners are facing and the race the city is on to replace our combined drainage system to keep our river free from sewage.

You’ll notice that you haven’t seen a new issue for a moment. This is because Lansing Undersea is now switching to a once a month (extra long)publication. This allows us to take more time in crafting our content and to include more brains and perspectives in the creation process.
